JHONSON BASKETBALL TEST BATTERY
IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION COURSES B.P.ED AND M.P.ED
WILLIAM JHONSON proposed a test battery for high school boy to measure a basketball abilities.
It is oldest and most common test.
It's was constructed in 1934 by jhonson the research work for master's Thesis.
This test consists of seven iteam but three are considered the most .

• VALIDITY. - 0.88
• EQUIPMENT REQUIRED
Basketball , soccer sheet , cones , marking tape , chalk ,
He composed three test items
1.Field goal Speed test .
2.Basketball throw for accuracy.
3. DRIBBLE.
1. FIELD GOAL SPEED TEST.
PURPOSE - To measure ability of examiners to make successful field goal Speed as under the stress in time.
TEST ADMINISTRATION - The tester ask the basketball player a stand in any position under and it's required to make maximum no. Of basketball in 30 seconds.
2. BASKETBALL THROW FOR ACCURACY
PURPOSE - To measure the should strength and the ability of consistent ( again and again ) accrute throws.
Test administration - Total ten trails will be given and the score is given to evaluate the performance .
3. DRIBBLE .
PURPOSE - To Measure the ball handling ability and agility level of the examiner
(subject ).
Meaning of agility - speedly , like fastly complete etc.
• The examinee is required to cover a maximum distance while dribbliy around obstacles in 30 seconds.
• Starting line 6` long.
• Distance form starting line to Frist cone 12'
• Distance between cones 6' ince
• TEST ADMINISTRATION :
THE SUBJECT is asked to begin dribbling form one end of the starting line . Subject with dribble in a zig Zag manner for 30 seconds around each obstacle points.
SCORING : The score is equal to the number of zones covered in 30 seconds .
